I always take my animals here! The staff are very friendly. And my pets love the vet.
My poodle is an escape artist and Lake Hickory Vet has taken very good care of her without drugging her up! I don't like for my pet to be drugged up like some boarders do and I expressed my concerns to them and they have always used natural ways to calm her. She was so happy this time I am so relieved to know she likes it there! Very caring and loving people with animals!
They assisted my 16 year old dog's euthanasia. They were so kind and compassionate both towards my dog Maggie, and me as well. The Dr. carefully and patiently explained every step of the drug used and what she would feel. The nurse made us a little plaster of our dog's paw print that we would use as a grave marker. I can't even tell you how much we appreciated how beautifully they handled everything they have done for our beloved cat and dog. We now have a rescue dog that they will provide veterinary services forwith the knowledge that they will lead his care with their usual high level of compassion.
I am a bit disappointed with this company. They usually are very helpful. But if you have a problem, they say "oh well". The staff doesn't always seem to be on the same page and expects you to know all the rules without informing you, like times for drop off or pick up.
This is the ONLY place we would board our Curly Coated Retriever. We tried other places a couple times, but this is the only place where my dog couldn't wait to get out the car when we pulled up. I knew she was in good hands whether it was for a couple hours or overnight. The price was great and included everything my dog would need for her stay. Great customer service by dog-lovers!
